Adult Education Offerings

Learning opportunities include three levels of English as a Second Language (ESL), Literacy and Citizenship classes. 

Monday Mornings

10 AM - 12 PM

Fresh Food Pantry

In partnership with the Delaware Valley Fairness Project, the Fresh Choice Pantry is open to serve guests on Monday mornings with emergency food bags available Tuesday through Friday during the center’s open hours.

Wellness Program

In-house partnerships with Home Health Agency, Open Arms, New Kensington Community Development Corp (NKCDC) have helped us to provide an on-site health screenings, HIV screenings, and Hepatitis screenings. 

Wednesdays & Fridays

Thea Bowman Center

In partnership with St. Francis Inn, the Thea Bowman Center provides women in need of a safe space a haven to take showers, do their laundry, get a good meal to eat, talk, and even use computers.  The program is completely run by volunteers and team at CCV.  

First Monday of Each Month

10 AM - 12 PM

Community Closet

Our Community Closet serves over 85 guests monthly. We are extremely thankful to have great volunteers to continue to run this program every month. We also keep closets full of clothing to help those who may need emergency help during the week. We are always in need of donations!

 Saturday mornings

Athletics & Healthy Living

Basketball, open gym, walking club and soccer leagues at the CCV help keep the local community active and fit. During the week, many junior high and high school students come to play basketball and make use of our wonderful facilities. Third party groups can also rent the space.



Community Dinners

Each year, from September through June, the Center hosts a community dinner on the last Friday of the month. All are welcome to attend, all are invited to serve. In order to cover the cost of the food a donation is asked for from guests.


Girls' Leadership Program

Seeking to empower young, adolescent females and provide them with the necessary tools to create real change within their communities, this program consists of bi­-weekly leadership workshops, speakers and monthly field trips.
