Harvest Festival

On Saturday, October 19th, the Community Center at Visitation was blessed with great weather for its annual Harvest Festival. Smiling children crowded the playground and let loose their creativity as they painted pumpkins or drew with sidewalk chalk. Inside the Center, parents strolled through the health fair and received flu shots, checked their blood pressure, attended nutrition workshops, or browsed through information on mental health, diabetes, and programs such as Head Start and Parent Cafes.

With a health fair full of great resources, delicious food to eat, chances to win prizes at Bingo, a flea market with something to appeal to everyone’s interests, and numerous raffle drawings, its no wonder the hours flew by! The day ended with an amazing performance by the Domination Dance Team who effortlessly drew in the crowd through their mix of ballet, hip-hop, and Latin dance.

The Harvest Festival was made possible because of the joint effort of the organizations who were represented and the donors and volunteers who selflessly gave of their time, energy, and resources. Thank you to all for joining CCV in its effort to reach out to the community with valuable resources and provide them with fun, family-oriented entertainment.
